Ok. This is image #1: me sans facial hair. I suppose it doesn't mean much to anyone who doesn't really know me. I probably should have posted before and after shots, but I didn't actually think of that until after I had already shaved off half the beard. You'll also note the five o'clock shadow - I took this one late in the evening. I'll try to take all the other ones in the morning from now on.First day of NaNoWriMo as well. It went alright. Got a bit of an outline done, and wrote about 1000 words so far. That's a little less than the 1500\day that I need to do to achieve the minimum 50 thousand - assuming I write the minimum each day for the whole month. I'll try to put some more into it tonight before I go to bed.
The biggest problem that I'm facing with NaNoWriMo right now is trying not to rush. I'm much more accustomed to writing short stories - it'll be hard to break the tendancy to get everything wrapped up in less than 10 or so pages. It's a bit of a shift in the way I think about writing, I suppose. Anyway, I'm not too worried, it'll come eventually. And there's no rules to say that you have to write everything linearly. I suspect that I'll end up going back and forth to fill in some details throughout the month.
